GB Apatite 8mm elastic bracelet
Mineral Information:
While the name Apatite is a representative name of a large family of crystals, the ones most commonly referred to as 'apatite' would be Fluorapatite, which is by far the most common. The name is derived from the Greek 'apate', which means 'to deceive', in reference to it commonly being mistaken for other mineral forms. It is most frequently a deep sea blue and/or green, and some can be chatoyant and produce a cat's eye effect. On top of being an aesthetically pleasing stone, it is extremely important to the environment and humans, as the apatite family of minerals are the foremost producers of phosphorous, which plants need to live and humans regularly use in industry.
