Product Description
Chalcedony Botryoidal 1"
Mineral Information
Botryoidal chalcedony, also known as "grape chalcedony" or "bubble chalcedony", is a variety of chalcedony that forms in small, rounded, grape-like clusters. It is formed through the deposition of concentric layers of silica gel within cavities or voids in rocks, often in volcanic or sedimentary environments. The layers of silica gel build up over time, creating the characteristic botryoidal shape. Botryoidal chalcedony can come in various colors, including white, grey, brown, yellow, and green, and is often used as an ornamental stone in jewelry and carvings.
Metaphysical Meaning:
Botryoidal Chalcedony to enhance creativity and communication. It aids in promoting calmness and tranquility. It is also protective against negative energies and helps to promote self-confidence and self-esteem.
Mineral Care:
Botryoidal chalcedony can vary in fragility depending on the size and density of its nodules. In general, it is considered to be relatively durable and resistant to chipping or breaking, but it can be prone to fracturing or cracking if exposed to high pressure or force. It is also important to note that, like all chalcedony, it has a hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale, making it susceptible to scratching or abrasion if it comes into contact with harder materials. Care should be taken when handling botryoidal chalcedony to avoid any accidental damage.
